A $99 "tune-up" that takes 15 minutes isn't a tune-up. Here is what a real seasonal AC maintenance visit should include in Florida, where systems run 9–10 months a year.
Outdoor unit
Clean condenser coil, check fan motor amps, test capacitor and contactor, inspect refrigerant line insulation, verify refrigerant pressures and superheat/subcooling, tighten electrical connections.
Indoor unit
Inspect evaporator coil, flush condensate drain line and test float switch, check blower motor and wheel, measure temperature split across the coil, inspect ductwork connections at the air handler, replace filter.
Controls
Calibrate thermostat, test safety switches, check heat strips or furnace ignition for winter readiness.
Why it matters here
Salt air corrodes coils, humidity breeds algae in drain lines, and constant runtime wears capacitors. Yearly maintenance catches those before they become an August breakdown. Book an
AC tune-up in your city.
